According to " The event is meant as an informal opportunity for people to ask questions and learn more about the department’s work in city neighborhoods" What an awesome way to just be yourself in an open, comfortable environment, no pressure whatsoever. This Friday take a few minutes out of your day and plan on stopping by around 9:00 am - Coffee with a Cop at the Gifted Bean Coffee House at Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library. The last time I went to one of these was in Minot, North Dakota, and it was great. If you have thick skin, want to get a job with flexible hours and nice benefits, and aren't bothered by physical activity and incredibly low staffing, this is a perfect job for you. Here is your chance to sit with an officer and get to know an actual human being You would have to have very thick skin, as customers are not so very nice when something goes wrong, so be prepared for that. This job was enough to get through school and to get a degree that would help kick start and advance afterwards, and that is about it. Early onset carpel tunnel, back pain and tendonitis is fairly common among employees. I transferred again because I had to move (after I transferred corp ended up doing an investigation and my second store manager ended up getting fired, along with three other people AND the DM stepped down). THAT store was so negative and horrible that I gave up on becoming an ASM. My first store, I loved my store manager, I was on the track to move up to ASM so I was transferred to another store to work on that. I've worked at three stores officially, but worked a few days at a handful of others. The experience you get is really based on the store you're working at. I've worked for Starbucks for almost 6 years now.
